“Maybe you should fly a jet! Maybe you should be a vet!”

One of my all-time favorite Dr. Seuss books… “Maybe you should fly a jet! Maybe you should be a vet!” teaches the age old lesson of, what do I want to do when I grow up?

Maybe you should fly a jet! Maybe you should've a vet!

“…Maybe you should be a jester…. Or a vester. How about a hammock tester?”

Why am I talking about a children’s book? Well, this book has been on my mind a lot in the past several weeks. Have you ever gone on vacation and said, “Oh! I’d loooove to live here! But what would I do?”

This very question is our reality right now.

I truly believe that when we find the right place for us, the rest will fall into place.

During our most recent stay somewhere in the Colorado mountains between Redstone and Marble, we allowed our imaginations to have the best of us. A small, 10-room motel for sale provided us with the idea of running our own little inn…

A trip up to the marble quarry renewed my faith in being a successful artist.

Colin’s choice would be to work at the local bbq joint and eat bacon on a stick.

Regardless of what choices we make, there is much opportunity for growth, learning and fun. We are closing out our Colorado tour in the next several days with a visit to the Durango area and will then travel further south to the mountains of northern New Mexico.

Until next time… take care, and remember, do not mountain bike in the rain in Colorado!

As you well know, this experience has me questioning everything in life. Thank you for the reminder… Shall we search Monster for hammock testers? I’m down with that. xo
